Adverse Effects Induced by Long-term Use of Hand Sanitizers Among Health Staff During COVID-19

Background: The present study examines the various complications and impurities of alcoholbased hand sanitizers during COVID-19 among health workers in Hamadan City, Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional was conducted on 178 healthcare different hospitals affiliated with University Medical Sciences. inclusion criteria included personnel working dedicated to care treatment patients City. A researcher-made questionnaire used collect data. Afterward, evaluate quality alcohol-based by workers, samples were collected analyzed using gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS). Stata software version 14-2 analyze Results: highest lowest percentages ethanol washing solutions gels 68.24% 60.71%, respectively. Among them, frequency gel, solution, spray 93.82%, 42.13%, 49.44%, Skin breathing sensitivity most common symptoms 44.38% 27.68% dryness (50%) sore throat (25.84%) observed skin respiratory Conclusion: Our findings implied that prevalence related use is high which highlights role appropriate rubs suitable formulations hospital environment reduce adverse effects caused their long-term extensive workers.
